Manufacturing / Flexible Packaging

Platinum Packaging Limited

A manufacturing plant runs visitor, employee vehicle, contractor, and finished-goods dispatch tracking from one system, giving a clear, gate-level view across a busy production site.

The challenge

As a manufacturer, Platinum Packaging needed a single, reliable way to manage everything moving through their plant gate: visitor check-in, employees arriving and leaving by vehicle throughout shifts, contractors accessing the site for maintenance and project work, and the steady dispatch of printed and manufactured goods leaving the premises. Handling these as separate, disconnected processes made it harder to keep a clear, real-time picture of gate activity on a working production floor.

The solution

Platinum Packaging deployed Mgeni VMS to bring visitor management, employee drive-in and drive-out tracking, contractor management, and outbound dispatch of printed and manufactured items together under one system. Visitors are checked in and out at the gate, employee vehicles are logged as they enter and leave across shifts, contractors are tracked separately from general visitors, and every dispatch of finished goods is recorded as it leaves the plant — giving the team one consistent, gate-level record across a manufacturing environment with a lot of daily movement.

On a production site, people, vehicles, and finished goods are moving through the gate constantly. Mgeni VMS now handles our visitors, employee vehicles, contractors, and dispatch of printed and manufactured items from one system, so we always have a clear, real-time picture of what’s happening at the gate.
